Bush Demands to See North Korea’s Taep’o-dong

North Korea’s missile, affectionately known as Taep’ o-dong II, is causing enough concern to lead President Bush to swing a deal with Japan to deploy Patriot interceptor missiles on American bases in Japan while demanding that North Korea reveal it’s secret missile plans.

Republican Senator Richard Lugar, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, proposed a worldwide system to account for and secure all nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, saying to the UN Security Council, “We must perfect a worldwide system of accountability for nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.” Warm laughter and sporadic applause greeted Lugar who added that a daily dose of humor was among his New Year’s resolutions.
