DeLay: Contract on America

Baloney aside, Tom DeLay led the Republican takeover of Congress in 1994 - a takeover that promised smaller, more responsive and more accountable government. It was marketed as the “Contract with America,” but it played out as more of a Mafia hit - doubling the budget from $1.46 trillion to $2.8 trillion, increasing the deficit, and creating a government that was bigger, twice as inept, and less accountable than any other regime.

The Republican led Congress has generated record deficits… an additional $30,000 worth of debt for every man, woman and child in America.

Yet, last fall DeLay was all grins, saying, “Yes, after 11 years of Republican majority we’ve pared it (the federal budget) down pretty good.”

The Devil and Tom DeLay

Despite a former aide working with the prosecution and scandal brewing over expensive golf trips, Tom DeLay is optimistic about putting his talents to work in the private sector. His long-time affiliation with the Republican party ending, DeLay is reportedly close to signing a deal working directly with devil.

Interviewed on MSNBC’s, “Hardball,” about his plans to work with the dark minions of Hell, DeLay said, “They value my talents and they listen to me. I think I can work with them.”

Hot Tub Tom’s Brokeback Mountain Past

Sinking in the quicksand of his own scandal, Tom DeLay is resigning from Congress after 22 years of strong arm tactics that earned him the nickname “The Hammer.” But he wasn’t always a tool.

He began as a clownish state rep from Texas known as “Hot Tub Tom.” He lived in a house with three other guys. The house was known as “Macho Manor.” (I wish I knew how to quit you!)

Drunk at night and an ideologue by day his skills as an exterminator would be applied like Round Up to all who stood in his way.

DeLay: God’s Favorite Corrupt Politician

When you think of “Tom DeLay” the words “Holy Man” naturally come to mind. Also, “Federal money-laundering,” for which he was indicted. DeLay is calling on religious conservatives to stay active in politics to defeat the “enemies of virtue” who have targeted Christians like himself, adding, “We have been chosen to live as Christians at a time when our culture is being poisoned and our world is being threatened.”

Meaning, we have chosen to live as wealthy, powerful Christians promoting a “culture of corruption” that extends to the highest levels of government. A “great herd of swine feeding” (Mark 5:11) at the financial trough of your children’s future.

East Texas evangelist Rick Scarborough, proved that there really is no fool like an old fool, praising DeLay as “a man I believe God wants” in office. Because there’s nothing God likes more than a bilious, corrupt, fat-cat Texas politician. See Mercury News

Tom DeLay Indicted without Waiting Around for a Little While

VIEW ALL: Ethics, DeLay

Republicans, anticipating Wednesday’s indictment of House majority leader Tom DeLay had voted last fall to change a House rule requiring leaders to relinquish their posts if hit with criminal charges, only to reverse it in January when it became apparent that it was the thickest piece of bologna ever sliced by the administration. DeLay was admonished by the House last year for three ethics violations, one of them offering political favors. See Freep.
