Maine’s Population Growth

VIEW ALL: Maine

More people are moving to Maine than fleeing across the border reversing an opposite trend in the 1990s. This is seen as a tribute to either (a.) how great it is here, (b.) how lousy it is elsewhere, or, more likely, (c.) broadband Internet access. Those arriving are older soon-to-retirees and those who can telecommute by Internet. Maine ranks fifth in migration. First? Nevada, followed by Arizona, Florida, and Idaho. See Boothbay Register
